The grave below reads, "Here lies the body of / WILLIAM CHRISTIE / a native of Scotland / and late Merchant of Philad. / who was cut in the flower / of his youth by falling from / the Stage-coach near Cranberrey / on the 19th of October 1796 / & was killed on the spot."
